Waffle-tots

Anything can be waffled.

Ingredients

Waffle iron
Tater tots
Directions

Take out the tots. Let them hang out. They need to be soft.

Maybe let them hang out in a skillet on lowish heat.
Plug in the waffle iron.
When the taters are not really cooking, but not too stiff (heh, heh) throw them in the waffle iron. I put like 23-26. Leave it on low to medium.
Let them hang out for a while. Like 10 minutes or something. Then turn the heat to the highest for like 3-5 more minutes.
Done!
Lessons Learned
I thought about putting them in the toaster to reheat.

Pizza Eggs

Stove time

Ingredients

Leftover Pizza

Eggs

Water

Seasonings
Butter/Olive Oil
Directions
Put the butter or oil in the pan and heat it up.
Cut the leftover pizza up into bite sized pieces. The crust can be included (I like it) but doesn’t have to be.
Put the pizza in the pan. I think I leave the heat around 5 or 6.
Whisk the eggs with some water and seasonings. Salt, pepper, sriracha, whatever.
Give the pan a cap and leave it alone for around 5 minutes.
Attack with spatula.
When the eggs are mostly cooked but still wet, remove from heat, but keep attacking.
Split and serve. Preferably with mimosas.
Lessons Learned

Don’t leave the pizza in at too high of a heat for too long by itself. It burns.

Breakfascramble

Oven at 420. Cast iron skillet preheats with the oven.

Ingredients

Potatoes
Onions
Garlic
Other veggies
Bacon
Steak
Butter
Oil
Eggs

Directions

Cube potatoes. (Store in water for no browning.)
Oven roast for 20-35 minutes, until soft.
Cut onions, garlic, other veggies, frozen bacon.
Oil cast iron pan and add steak. Give each side a 3 minute hot sear.
Fry bacon. Remove from pan.
Fry potatoes. Remove from pan. (Everything that’s been removed can be put into one big pile. Maybe the cookie sheet you used to bake the potatoes?)
Turn down heat and sautee onions and garlic.
Add everything back. Mix it all around. Sautee until it’s done.
Remove from pan (onto that same cookie sheet?) Fry eggs.
1 egg on top of 1 bowl of scramble works. Or scramble the eggs into the mixture. Works well for burritos.
